Marta Martin Hurtado

Marta Martin HurtadoMarta Martin is a senior environmental consultant.

In 2004, Marta joined Accenture, where she managed several international projects related to logistics engineering.

In March 2010 she joined Creara as head of the technical department of Consulting and Training. Since then she has participated in more than 50 projects in energy efficiency management and climate change in both Spain and Latin America.

As a specialist in energy management, she carried out the implementation of Energy Management Systems ISO 50001 , being responsible for the technical documents development and for the execution of internal audits.
As for climate change, her experience includes the coordination and implementation of projects for calculating the carbon footprint of products or companies and providing strategic energy planning in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs).

She was a professor in a master’s program at the University od Antonio de Nebrija as well as in several energy management courses and carbon footprint for different organizations such as the Spanish Association for Quality or the Biscay College of Industrial Engineers.

In the field of outreach, she contributed to the elaboration of guidelines for energy savings and efficiency as well as energy management systems according to ISO 50001 and methodologies for quantification and reporting of GHG emissions for various entities such as the School of Industrial Organization (EOI) or the Environmental Management Public Company.

Marta holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering since 2004 from the Complutense University of Madrid. She completed her education with an MSc in Environmental Management at the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
